This year we finally got to host thanksgiving at the house, (last year we owned the house - but it was not in a condition ready to host the big dinner at that time...) It was alot of fun, we had the fire going, video games, three real football games to watch, and about 11 people over at the house. Above is the fake turkey (thanks Gavin), not pictured is the chocolate Log (no thanks, Gavin).
Here's a shot of the real thing (turkey) waiting for us in the kitchen. Note the IPA, and giblets as side dishes (now that says NW Thanksgiving).
Here's a group photo right before dinner. somehow - of the three photos we took here, mom was missing from all of them - somewhere off to the right side unfortunately. She was here though - which was great! The only proof that I have is the photo below - construction mom interogating the real-estate agent for a new condo we looked at on phinney ridge.
Give em hell, mom!
We also watched a movie afterwards - we started with "Snakes on a plane" which was so bad that none of us could go farther than 30 minutes with it - especially mom. However we then changed to the old favorite: "Talladega Nights" which had mom laughing all the way back to Boston.
