Kitchen Floor - July 07 - We've been itching to tear up our old linoleum and blue carpet for a while, so we purchased some marmoleum click flooring (a t&G marmoleum product that clicks into place, marmoleum is a natural version of linoleum that is similar to 50's "linoleum" floors. -see www.environmentalhomecenter.org).
So we pulled up the carpet and linoleum to expose the subfloor, patched the subfloor where leaks had caused it to swell and rot out (incl a really bad spot at the back door) and then went to work placing, cutting, and setting the click floor. The click floor snaps into place with some coaxing with a rubber mallet and blocking. This was actually alot of fun - and the difference in the kitchen is one of the biggest one weekend improvements that we have seen with any project.
Afterwards - to the Ballard Seafoodfest beer garden.
