Refinished Floors

Refinished Floors - Oct/Nov 06: Our first task before moving in was pulling up the carpet and getting down and dirty stripping and refinishing the existing wood floors. The house is almost 100 years old, and as was the custom at the time, the floors were originally 3/4 T&G fir - painted where the walking surface was, and unpainted underneath area rugs. We found that much of the floor was unpainted, the portions that were needed to be chemically stripped and then scraped up.
